Typically for memes I'll play him as romanced by Scott Ryder, but "broken up" with after the big Charlatan reveal. Headcanon Background

Born in 2149 to his parents who in the coming years join the Alliance military.

In 2157 the First Contact War between Humans and Turians occurs. While it's fleeting, both of his parents die in the conflict and he's sent to live with relatives at the age of eight. For the next ten years he focuses on school and is juggled around by relatives, never really fully integrating into a home or feeling like he belongs.

In 2167 he enlists in to the Alliance Navy at the age of eighteen. Maybe wanting to follow in his parents footsteps in some way.

Is part of the Alliance Navy present in 2183 at the Citadel when defeating Sovereign, helping prevent the coming of the Reapers. At least for the time being.

First hears about the Andromeda Initiative in 2184. With his parents dead and not having any super close ties to extended family, he looks into this as a possible option for his future. Many feel the threat of the Reapers is over, but he'd rather not stick around to find out.

In 2185 the Andromeda Initiative heads out, starting it's 634 year travel to the Andromeda galaxy. Reyes is put into cryogenic sleep along with thousands of other humans on board the Nexus.

Cue 634 years later and the events of Mass Effect: Andromeda start...
